Grief and Loss Support Group

(Under the direction of Liberty's Counseling Ministry)

Beginning Sunday, November 2, 2008, a Grief and Loss Support Group will meet twice a month in Liberty's Fellowship Hall on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.  The cost is $25.  This support group is open to anyone who has experienced loss of a loved one through death, divorce, break-up; loss of reputation or a good name; aging or health loss; loss of possessions as a result of theft, fire, accident, bankruptcy; loss of a dream or goal; lost custody of a child or grandchild; etc...

Loss is an inevitable part of life and grief is a natural part of the healing process. Grieving allows us to work through feelings of nervousness, anger, fear, guilt and remorse as well as other feelings caused by loss.

Sharing these experiences and feelings in a compassionate, caring setting can facilitate the mourning process as well as promote healing and acceptance.
