Counseling Ministry
The Counseling Ministry of Liberty Baptist Church began in June of 1996 under the direction of Robert Baptist. It is a Christ-centered ministry founded primarily on Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 4:11-16, II Corinthians 1:3-7, and II Timothy 2:2.
The purpose of the Counseling Ministry is accomplished through a three-fold process: (1) to counsel in such a caring manner that individuals, couples and families work through the issues in their lives, come to an identification with Christ, and learn to walk in victory; (2) to train others in counseling in the same manner; and (3) to provide support for individuals who are hurting and in the process of healing.
The goal of this ministry is to deal with personal and interpersonal problems through the application of Biblical truths. The Bible (the inspired Word of God) is the primary tool used by the Counselor in the process of healing. Jesus said, If you abide in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine, and you will know the truth and truth will set you free. If...the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:31,32,36). It is Jesus who heals and sets people free.
Our counselors are trained in pre-marital counseling, marital counseling, stress management, career counseling, grief and loss, spiritual warfare, Exchanged Life counseling and Theophostic Ministry, i.e., severe trauma and pain.
This ministry is provided through the membership of Liberty Baptist Church, and is available to members and non-members. Persons wishing to receive counseling should call (770-461-5644) or visit the Church office.
