Worship Ministry
Have you ever said:
“I don’t need to worship at church; I can worship God anywhere.”
“Worship is too high-tech now-a-days. Can’t we get back to old-time worship?”
“Worship is boring. The sermons are irrelevant and the music is out-of-touch.”
“Why does God want worship anyway? Is God an egomaniac?”
Thought provoking sentiments, aren’t they? They express real-life issues facing spiritually-minded individuals today. Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up.
God is the Sovereign, transcendent creator of the universe. This is a statement of fact. He is no less God if we worship Him or not. God created mankind with a need to worship; worship is for our benefit, not God’s emotional necessity. We all need to experience God through worship.
Truth is always relevant. The Bible is truth from God, the originator of truth. Sermons and Bible studies at Liberty are relevant because they are based on Scripture – God’s truth. Sermons at Liberty address real human issues and needs because God is concerned about your issues and needs.
Jesus said worship is to be in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Media, singing, instruments, drama, and liturgy are simply tools for worship. Liberty is committed to using all God-given tools without compromising spirit or truth. This is the old-time religion placed in a dynamic 21st century context.
Yes, you can and should worship God at all times, in all places. However, Scripture teaches us the value and necessity of congregational worship – worship with brothers and sisters in Christ (Hebrews 10:24). There is a special blessing when you worship our Lord with your spiritual family.
So, come on and join us for worship – another gift from God!

Prayer Ministry
At Liberty, prayer is not a part of our ministry - it is our ministry. And, YES, it does make a difference!
At Liberty we believe in the power of prayer - we believe that prayer ushers us into the presence of God. Prayer is communicating with God. God is OUR answer. God is YOUR answer. The aim at Liberty is to provide you meaningful ways to know and communicate with God. We also believe that if it matters to you, it matters to God.
There are two emphases in the prayer ministry at Liberty. One is to make your needs known so others can pray for you. The second is to participate as a prayer minister for others. Prayer ministry is giving and receiving.
